I went back to the permission were I scored a 1876 CC dime a few months ago. It backs up to my colonial honey hole where I found some great stuff last year. I got the 75 and 79 indians near where I pulled the seated. I also dug a few roundballs and what looks like lead pipe? pieces. I also got what looks like a small rosette made out of tombac? Up closer to the early 20th century home you can seemingly dig memorials and wheaties all day but no silver. I found the buckle? in this area at 10" plus so dont know if that is any indication of age. It was one of the deepest finds there

Would love to have a "go to" spot with that much history waiting to be unearthed.........
Great finds............and there's got to be a little silver lurking in there somewhere.............

Excellent finds, and that buckle is interesting. I'm sure someone will know what it is.

Thanks. Im hoping its colonial. It looks to have had a silver wash on it originally. Never seen one similar posted before. Not even sure what it was used for. Any help appreciated

Great site and some good finds toasted  The quest to answer the questions that the relics pose is good part of the hobby for me. Even though I'm mainly a coin shooter, I do like to dig relics and cool artifacts.

Great site and some great finds!!

Congrats on the finds, particularly those injuns from the 70s!

Congrats on the injuns and other nice finds

The buckle looks 19th C. I'm assuming its bust in half because the off-set bar should be in the middle. Used on thick leather, so probably horse related.

Cool finds, I would dig every wheat and stinking Lincoln and clear that area. I found a nice LC doing just that, same sound and number as all the pennies surrounding it.

Thanks. Yeah its broke and probably horse related. It seems like most of the relics I find are horse related. Maybe one day Ill find a shoe/knee buckle. I have yet to find a skeleton key too

Well done as usual.

Best of luck to you.
