Ikes are easy to get rid of. A big lot of them might bring a small profit on eBay or Craigslist. If you don't want to go to the trouble, MANY tellers collect Ikes and will happily buy them. At the first stop of my last roadtrip, I walked in and asked for halves and "big" dollars as usual. She had $2 in halves, but replied that she didn't have any big dollars and in fact kept the few she came across. I just happened to have 95 of them in my truck. She ended up buying them all.
After returning with the Ikes, I noticed 3 half dollars stacked up and 1 off to the side. It was a 40%er. As I laid the Ikes on the counter, she placed the 40%er with the other three and handed them to me. I know she was going to keep it, but since I brought in the Ikes she let me have it. So not only did I unload the Ikes that I didn't want, I scored a silver that I wouldn't have gotten otherwise.
