Today I was at a bank asking for halves or big dollars. Teller goes into the vault and comes back with 5 rolls of dollars. Two of the rolls are unmarked $25 rolls of small dollars. Two other rolls are $25 rolls of small dollars, one roll is marked '1979-S BU', the 2nd roll is marked '1979-S BU-UNC'. In side the 1979-S BU roll is a silver MWR of Sacagewea dollars? Weird. Inside the other '1979-S BU UNC' roll is a Brinks roll of 1979-P SBA's in basically UNC condition. Very weird.

Then the 5th roll is a legitimate $20 roll of IKE's that looks old and is all taped up. One one side is says IKE's CIRC MIXED DATES, the other side says 1972. I bet the roll itself is 20 years old at least. I opened it and there was noth special in there, but it was cool to find an actual IKE roll.

I see no value here but I'm going to keep the IKE roll and the two roll-in-roll small dollar rolls.

Also found a '64, 4-40%ers and 12 NIFC's out of ~$611 of loose, CWR's and rewrapped dumps. Found a '42 wheatie while dumping.

Just looked a little more and the MWR of Sacagewea's is a Brinks MWR, wrapped in tin-foil, then slide inside of a standard folding end paper roll.... huh. Anyone know what's up here?

I have gotten lime green $20 ike rolls before, they are indeed weird.

you don't want a roll o' ikes chunked at you, worse than any other kind of roll combined

How can you say they exist without any pics?!?!?!?!?

Lol :)

It is well-known of the Ike rolls that they can emit a memory-affecting blue ray, causing the famous "missing time" phenomenon first discovered by Betty and Barny Hill. Time-regression hypnotherapy will likely discover that the finder actually did have a camera, but due to the effects of the 'Ike-beam' forgot to use it. :icon_scratch:

I got some Ike wrappers from a bank once just so I could say I had them. Still have them. They look huge.

Did you check the 1979-P dollars for the Near Date/Wide Rim variety?

I haven't opened the roll. The roll has one obverse ender and it's not a wide rim. I appreciate the heads up to check though, I don't really know much of what to look for on the dollar coins.

Thanks.

Did you look for the Type 2 Ikes and the Cheerios Sacagaweas?

I bought $80 from a bank last week and used my brown rolls to roll them then dump them.
