IL Creek Hunt

I hunted a creek in Madison Co IL this weekend. Hiked a decent bit before I found my first point. I went to get my phone out to take a picture and it wasn't in my pocket meaning I must have dropped it into the creek somewhere over the last mile of hiking. On the hike back down the creek I find the phone sitting in about 8" of water. The phone wasn't in a case. I figure it had been in the creek for about an hour. I picked it up and tried to turn it on and amazingly it was already on and has absolutely no issues. Pretty amazing.

i have done similar things in the past...what i usually do is cover the object in a bowl of uncooked rice...seems to work.

It's an iPhone 4S.

To to be honest I just felt furry are that I was out hunting. The phone working and the partial point were just icing on the cake.

Dang! That phone as been down through there. Tough phone for a tough guy. For a phone, that's the equivalence of walking with a broken neck. Lol!
