I'm living my dream now

Finally a forum about dumpster diving, who would have thunk it.
There's a Oscar in all of us.

Worked for decades for a package delivery company....The amount of stuff and quality people throw out is incredible. After New Years and spring cleaning are nice times.

Watched a newer episode of Hoarders with Andy, the San Diego guy who dumpster dives and lives with his 93yo mother. All I kept thinking every time the crew would pull his crap out was, "Wow! You can fix that!" "You could sell that!" "Scrap that and make a little money!" My wife was not pleased to say the least! LOL
As an aside too, I have a feeling he had something in the carport - drugs, found firearm(s), or a massive old coin collection that he didn't want folks to find. ;)

When I was about 10 the first thing me and my pals did on Monday morning was hit the local dump. It was about a mile down a dirt road. Always treasure there! Now this was in the 50's and polio was going strong. The best find ever was a wooden leg!!!, brought it home only to be greeted by a bunch of screaming MOMs yelling (you're gona die take it back, take back):tongue3:
