Im lost on this...

I found this at a house that is part of a community that once housed Air Force personell for an air base that was implemented durring WWII. I thought it was a fishing lure but it's not made of lead. (The very top is.) The main body is dark brown so I don't know if it's brass, copper, or bronze. Any ideas?

it appears you have found a .30 caliber spire point bullet for reloading I would guess it is 110 grains in weight

Bullet see if you can find old maps of the base range was probly around get your targets up all dog targets up sorry it's a military thing
