I'm Mad!!

The overseer of one of our best sites called my buddy today and asked if we had been out to the site. Of course, we hadn't and wouldn't without getting the OK ahead of time.
Well, someone went out there and walked all over the field and now we have to pay the price. The overseer does not want anybody there for a while!
I hope they catch the SOB that trespassed and messed our hunting up!

It is getting to be a jungle out there with the trespassers. They see a site like t-net and think you can just go out and pick things up. Little do they know how hard most of us work on getting permission to hunt our sites. I will never show a picture of a field river or creek I hunt on this site again.
Maybe you can make it up the landowner? Take them a nice ham. I have gone out and filled holes from trespassers.
Grrrrrr!

Re: I'm Mad!!

Ran to a similar problem-Someone got permission to metal detect a farm and ripped apart a stone wall and left it laying all over the field. I talked to the farmer to see if I could just walk the field and he said he wasn't letting anyone on his property ever again. Unfortunately I heard that this area was where a huge village was located between two major rivers. I might go back and offer to fix the wall. But he was pretty adamant.

Re: I'm Mad!!

My dad has a couple field cameras he put up in strategic locations to "watch" our fields for activity.
Started out, he was just tryin to get a picture of a monster buck thats been working our farm. He's already caught and identified 2 outlaws trespassors.
If you're gonna poach on our farm, YOU ARE BEING WATCHED.

Re: I'm Mad!!

Asking and securing permission before one enters private land not only is required by law; it is a matter of the most fundamental decency. I too have lost sites because others have entered on the land without permission. Here is hoping that the tresspassers get what they have coming to them.

Re: I'm Mad!!

We have had the same problem around here. There is one individual that thinks he needs no permission anywhere he goes. It has caused several of my friends and myself to be ran out of places. My friends and I are all ethical hunters and always get permission before we hunt. Luckily several of the land owners now have evidence of the person/trespasser who has given us a bad name.

I know what you mean, I go out of my way to ask permission & I ALWAYS find tracks on one the creeks I hunt & the farmer said no one else is to be down there. But what can you do some people just think that they have the right to be there without permission , I wonder if someone walked in their yard or house would they just sit there? ???
