You might consider browsing Sub-Forums: Texas for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state.

There are three clubs in the DFW area, do a Google search for detecting clubs in Dallas and Fort Worth.

You mite check out the park in Mansfield, just south of you. A good friend of mine says there was old home sites there before the park came about. I'm in the cleburne area a lot.
