i'm still around....checking all the fantastic finds here; managed a bit of Ag & a

bit of gold plated 14K.

You've all been finding such beautiful treasures.:notworthy:

it's been tough finding the "goodies" here , but I'm still hanging on.:skullflag:

Haven't posted each hunt because frankly there was not much to post, but during a span of 4 hunts, I finally did manage some treasures to post.

All found in low tide mud.

Silver glass stone medallion has no marking on it, but it tested + with acid test.

The "Jesus" medallion looked real good until Mizer showed "not gold":blackbeard:; maybe next time.:cat:

Here's some pics.

Thanks for looking.

Lorraine

p.s. I'm discontinuing my home Internet subscription, and may not get back on line at home again; will be using library computer until ( if) I can negotiate a reasonable price with another subscriber. I think I'll be able to post info of finds, but without pics.

Keep those treasures comin'! I love this forum!:headbang:

Nice finds Lorraine,

Down load the APP Tapatalk and put it on your phone. I follow at least 6 metal detecting sites and get notifications when someone post new finds. You can also post from your phone and send private messages. It's a great app and I highly recommend it.

Nice finds, Lorraine and glad to see you posting. I had to give up my home internet in January-2015 and really miss it. I use my home photo to upload and resize my photos and then download them to a flash drive and put them on the library pc. Just a thought. Last item looks like it might be Jewish jewelry? Happy hunting.

I missed this thread somehow...congrats on the nice finds...I really like that Jesus medallion.

What are these little gold captain's wheel things ? Found same at Cocoa.

Lorraine, I think you found some nice pieces. Thanks for the pics.

Hi teklord,
I
was thinking that this is medallion; is the one you found , gold? Mine is brass.

Not sure of the material, gold looking finish, have not tested, just tossed it in in the " mystery " jar and forgot about it until I saw your post.

Lorraine: You may have found a circled Pentagram:

Most likely it is Wicca: A circle around a pentagram contains and protects.
The circle symbolizes eternity and infinity, the cycles of life and nature.
The circle touching a five points indictates the spirit, earth, air, water and fire are all connected.

The circled pentagram is the passive form implying spiritual containment of the magic circle in keep with the tradional
secrecy of witchcraft (Wicca) , and the personal , individual nature of the pagan religious path, of its non- proselytising character.
It could have other meanings dependent on the symbols at the points of the star and words.

Less Likely: Up until medieval times, the five points of the pentagram represented the five wounds of Christ on the cross.
It was a symbol of Christ the saviour, This is in stark contrast to today where the pentagram is criticized by modren Fundamentalist Christians, as being
a symbol of evil.

Even less likely it could be jewish.

What I would not want to see is an inverted pentragram (One Point Down) - The implication os of spirit subserviant to matter, of man subservient
to his carnal desires.
