In need of a recommendation

Hi All,

I am new to the hobby of metal detecting, and have a question. I am looking to purchase a general purpose metal detector for 200.00 or less. Anyone have any recommendations? I want to search school yards, parks, and areas like that. I live in northern Utah...if that helps. I appreciate all the help!

My recommendation is to try and pick up a used Garrett Ace 250. Simple to operate and a good first detector.

Or look for a used Tesoro , either one would be a great detector to start with.
