...better weather. Was down in Chaffee County, where it's up in the 50's, light breeze, and lots of sun. Came back to Summit County where it was 30 degrees, windy, rain, sleet, and snow. It has warmed up to almost 40 now and light snow. Probably no accumulation til tonight at least. Could be worse; I pulled up a pic of the road over by Turquoise Lake exactly one year ago today and looks like we quite a bit more on the ground by this time, so maybe I shouldn't gripe.

And I underestimated this storm. Dropped down into the 20's and about 2 inches so far and still comin down. I-70 is closed in both directions due to accidents and Loveland Pass is closed due to avalanche danger. Went to Breck a while ago and SH-9 wasn't too bad. About 200yds. visibility, bumper to bumper traffic as usual but moving smoothly at 35-40mph. Except comin back, up a little rise all kinds of brake lights comin on and cars goin off on the right and sliding over to the inside lane. Got up there and it was a small car with flashers on, movin almost as fast as I can walk. And Florida plates, haha! Hope they made it, cause too slow can get you killed just like too fast.
