Here is a pic of what I think is a Preform or a blank ??? that I found on Sat. I was walking back to the car after 4 hrs of finding nothing but flint chips in a creek & came up on this. I't's very strange but some of the times I find stuff when I'm getting ready to leave a site! ???
Thanks 4 looking! :)

Looks like half a preform. I always find stuff right after I tell myself to leave too. Then I end up staying longer and find nothing else.

Looks like the tip to a blade...
the end is kinda serrated but I've shown stuff I thought was a blade & have been told it's a preform...What would make it either or? ??? :icon_scratch:
Thanks

The material looks like Kansas Flint Hills Permian chert.

I believe you made the right call, a blank or possibly a large preform.
