I had a quick half hour before coming home today. After a killer hunt yesterday featuring 2 KG's and more, I needed a less intense little half hour to ease back into non-colonial digs.
I was in gone hunting mode with my CTX and had a strange signal. 3-45, 12-47, 12-45, 01-50, 9-32, 12-28 etc... It was about five inches down so I starts digging. I thought it was a buried clad quarter but low and behold.... 1917 s Standing liberty half. It was standing on end but luckily I wasn't fooled by the scattered signals.
For those coin experts out there, it was a reverse S and not the coveted obverse S with only 1/2 million made. All in all it was a great half hour and a great half.
Happy Spring and thanks for looking.
