Thank you. It might have been a jail. Generally, in the Western ghost towns I've visited, the two strongest buildings were the jail and the bank.Nice shot!
Do you know what the building was?
No, we didn't detect. It's private property and I have no idea how to contact the owner. Off in the distance is:AAMAZING picturewhat a great place to detect
Have you detected there ?
Thank you! That is good to know!Old Bookaroo I have a couple of programs on my cell phone that tells me who owns the property and there address's Onmyx Hunt and Regrid/. Regrid was free here in Ohio
I highly recommend I'll Forget When I Die - the story of the 1917 Bisbee deportation of some 1,800 miners into the New Mexico desert. It is an enlightening history of the American labor movement, the battle for equal rights for Hispanic citizens, and more. It is first-rate - an important story well worth telling. More than another yarn about the OK Corral firefight.Spent a lot of time all around there as a kid (my family is all from Bisbee), as well as Charleston, Fairbank, St. David and Benson.
My brother and his buddy were digging a privy in Charleston and found a gold pocket watch and chain years ago.
Thank you! I missed that when we were there.Cool shot!!
Are there prairie dogs/desert rats on top of the building? I see one stretched out eating from the tree and another peeking over the roof.
