Most gold coins that were minted in the U.S. were the $5 denomination,
between 1870 and 1930. Search areas in this time period that had heavy
traffic. Also, calibrate your metal detector with 3 modern nickels taped
together. This target has a slightly lower conductivity than the $5 pc.
