Incredible Cache of Coins Found

Today’s Metal detecting was an amazing first. I went to a small Park for a quick hunt, an was it quick. I was detecting about 30 minutes with nothing to show, so I started back to the Truck when I made a quick pass by a Slide. The Detector started ringing like a Bell 🛎, I expected a couple of Coins together... not 25 in one spot. In a 2 foot swath of wood chips, I picked up Coin after Coin after Coin. This is definitely my first huge cache of Coins!

Frankly, it was a total surprise. This is why I love to Metal Detect because you never know. What I have learned, never assume because you don't know what you will find.

Actually you have located a big spill, not a cache. A cache is a purposely buried or stashed group of valuable items. I have lost that many coins in a spill myself, hopefully someday you will find a real cache, few actually do.
