It’s been a while since I’ve posted any of our finds this year. And what a year it has been. But I recently picked up something that I just had to share. We attended a local church holiday fair and they had a silent auction as part of their events. Apparently one of the elderly members recently passed away and she was a world traveler and the family donated tons of her stuff. I spot this large bowl as one of the items and immediately noticed the 800 mark on the bottom. I placed a bid and after a few back and forth bidding I wrote in $45. We returned later in the day to check in and after it was over, I won the bidding at that price! It’s huge and weighs in at 16.58 ozt. After further research, I’ve discovered that it is a Yogya silver piece at 80% silver. Very desirable stuff and goes for a premium. This may be a keeper. Also scored an antique fishing creel basket with holiday decorations. Sorry, no pics of that. Happy hunting everyone!!
