Looks ramrod to me. He probably pounded that ramrod trying to getting the minnie down a dirt bore and gave up before he got it fully seated. Then he had to pull it out. If it had been a double load, I'd think that the "ring" would be larger diameter. Anyway, that is a cool find. Thanks for posting it.
