Hi, With the thick round edge, it looks like it could be a hammer stone, used for flaking large slivery flakes of flint, or chert, etc., in the process of making weapons, like spear and arrowhead points... ~: CDS :~

Looks like a rock that may have at one time had galena crystals in the matrix.
