Indian, Buffalo, silver, relics, 1800's marine button....
Yesterday badJim and I went door knocking, first stop was a 1913 school, people live in it now but unfortunately they have horse behind the school and covered most of the old playground area. Did manage to make some finds around the side and front. nabbed 4 wheats, a nice 1915 buffalo nickel and my favorite find was a 1800's Marine button ID'd by Paul Flicker for me on facebook, I included a picture he posted from hisAlbert's button ID book.
Second stop was an old farm house, the owner said it was detected pretty hard by his buddies but allowed us to search the front yard. Managed a few wheats, and the 1897 indian, looks like it has a cud mark by the date. Picked up some clad and couple junk rings, and the old tire gauge.
Third stop was an abandoned farm house the owner lived next door and he gave us permission, I got the silver rosie, few wheats, some clad, and the CW heart heel plate, looks like they wore it till it fell off...lol
Fun day, and always nice when everyone we talk too says "YES"!
