Got out this morning with my son Carson and hunted a 1950's school . I was hoping for some silver and I got it on the 2nd target
. It was a +83 VDI at 8 inches and when I dug it I was surprised to see a ring . It is my first big chief ring in 16 years of detecting . I have always wanted to find one and this a cool looking chief
. It's marked sterling and looks like it has been in the dirt many years . All the targets were at 6-8 inches and the coins all dated from the early 60's and three from the 50's but no silver coins this time . The one wheat is a 1958D the other two 50's are a 1959D Memorial and a 1957D nickel . I also found a junk ring on my last dig of the hunt . Carson found one junk ring , it's the gold colored one
. Total clad for about 2 hours was $3.66 and $1.95 for Carson .
