Hi Vicki, I did not do any detecting around them, it was one of those times you always keep walking over the next hill to see whats there :P The hill I took the picture from was the last hill I was going to climb that day and I have not been back since.

Looks like Wyoming. Could you tell us the general area?

I would go over with a detector, those could be spots where small meteorites fell also...Being circular and low in the middle..you never know!
