I found this while walking on an old, old farm, pre revolutionary war. This stone struck me as very peculiar. Somebody suggested it could have been an Indian carving stone? Any ideas?

Could very well be a stone that was around at the same time as the "indians". And the mastodons, tyranosaurs and the trilobites as well. A stone has perminance all wrapped up. ;-)

I don't see carving, could it be plough strikes?

Seems to be a Mano, Manos refer to the handstones used in conjunction with milling basins and metates for grinding seeds or grains into flour.

Compare my pics and pics online.
