INDIANS, WHEATS,MERCS, ROSIES,SILVER, TOKENS,WATCH FOB

I was able to obtain permission to hunt the front yards of two older homes in my neighborhood and ended up with some pretty good finds ! All of these finds were a result of four separate hunts at each site. They consist of indian head and wheat pennies, mercury and rosie dimes, one silver washington, several silver wartime nickles, v-nickles and buffalo nickles, foreign coins, good luck charms, one and five mill tax tokens, one 50 cent and one five dollar red goose shoes tokens, good for one fare bus token, several amusement tokens, suspender buckle, a gold religious pin, a 1921 51st annual meeting american fisheries society watch fob and a pile of bottle caps, pull tabs, lead, iron and roofing nail trash. I really want to get one of those I.D. detectors that have a digital V.D.I. number readout and depth reading, but i'm having a hard time letting go of the money right now. I am currently hunting with a Tesoro Silver Saber II. As you can see, the finds have not been cleaned yet. Sorry for the unclear pictures. Have a great week everybody. I will post again soon.

thanks for all the kind words from everyone i am pretty proud of this haul. it did take 8 different hunts (4 hunts per yard) to come up with all of this though. one of the yards was huge and took forever to hunt. i'm pretty methodical and slow when hunting an older yard. i hope to have an I.D. detector soon so i can tell if it's silver before i dig it. i know those things are'nt always accurate though. thanks again !!!

Awesome finds! I wish the yards I hunted were like that.... And those Tesoros are awesome machines (I hunt with a silver u-max) -- Though I am not very experienced, I have skunked some of my friends who use digital machines. Also, if I am not mistaken, you can hypertune your machine (I am jealous). I certainly wouldn't want to give that up!


Anyhow, you seem to be doing awfully well!! Congrats again.

Good job. I hunt with a Tesoro Silver uMax and love it. Not having the ID simplifies it for me; just dig everything that sounds good.

I would continue asking permission on those productive streets!

Wow ,what a huge haul of silver!!I would love to get onto some old yards,but on Long Island that is not going to happen,people are too into their lawns or too distrustful.I'm surprised that with IH's and V nickels ,you did,nt pop a Barber or two.
