I have a very interesting ARTIFACT that did not come from the Ocean.
This is a soild silver bar that I recovered from the same general area that I recovered the Gold escudos from. This silver was still in the laddle at about 2 feet below the ground. The handle appears to have been broken off. The silver weights about 2 pounds. I have a small piece assayed and it turns out to be about the same silver content as the Spanksh coins would have been- about .916.
I will sell this and the laddle it came from for a resonable price.
If anyone is interested you can send me a EM and we can go from there.

Since there is no provenence or historical value tied to your find, no authentication by an archaeologist or some other expert, I guess it is worth about $403.20

Silver is @ $12.60 an ounce x's 32 ounces (2 lbs)

Would you agree? Do you have the assayers documents attesting to the purity of the silver?

Thanks Don. (I may have an interested buyer)

No I do not have the assayers report but I will tell you what I will do. Since we live very close I will bring the 2 pounder to whereever you want and let you take the silver and do whatever you want. When it proves out to be what I have said it to be then and only then will you pay for the item but until then do with it what you want.
I also have something else in silver that will not doubt be impressive. I will bring that also.
How,s that for being fair?

silver is over $14.00 a troy ounce,it is higher then it has ever been, this week im sending off 50 lbs of silver that came out of a dental xray process system to get processed.i get the choice of a check or silver ingots.most likely i will get both.

Remember that is a troy Oz, when you sell precious metals, so there is less troys than 16 avidupious or however its spelled. I think there is 12 or so per pound.

nd silver is 12.25 per troy Oz right now.

I no longer have the silver.
There are 28+ grams to a AV ounce.
There are 31+ grams to a troy ounce.
You are correct a Troy pound is 12 t. oz.
I have at the present time a 3 pound chunck of silver that I recovered from a melted iron pot.
I have it in a special display box surrounded by pottery sherds that I recovered from the same location. I do not plan on doing anything else with it . It shall remain the same way that I recovered it except that I removed the iron.
I will take a photo and send it to you as soon as I get to it.
