Interesting brass discs

I found these brass discs together and am wondering what they probably are. They appear to be custom hand engraved and not just machine stamped. The back side is blank. Key fob? Dog tags? Strange to me that there are two of them and that they didn't just simply engrave both sides of one tag. What do you think? Oh, each disc is 1" in diameter.

Looks like a name to me.
there was a Kelley Huber killed in a ski lift accident in Colorado in 2016.

I've not seen anything like it but, as usual, I'll speculate.

'Huber' can be a first name so I'm guessing it's a love token of sorts. Kind of like a Mizpah token without the religious overtones.

Sounds reasonable and logical. I would still think that if two people wanted a love token, they would have put it all on one token.....two sides of the same coin, so to speak. I guess this way, they could change their mind and find other lovers by swapping tokens!
