Another beautiful day and I managed to sneak away this afternoon for a short hunt. I hit a cornfield that I have only hunted with my Ace. I didn't find much and it was (again) tough fighting the corn stubble. I'm thinking maybe I'll ask Santa for a smaller coil this Christmas.
Near the road I spotted a plastic bag and went over that way to check it out. I could see several empty Coleman fuel bottles and I guessed I was looking at meth lab dumpings. I hunted for a while then called hubbie to confirm my suspicions. I looked at the bag better and could see Sudafed boxes as well.
I asked him to call the sheriff for me since I was still hunting. A bit later a state policeman called and agreed to meet me at the field. He showed up ~20 minutes later and we walked back over to where the bag was. He used gloves and sorted through the bag and found some unused lithium which he said is pretty hazardous. He had to call in for the haz mat people to come clean it up.....your MI tax dollars at work.
He took down some info and asked me to let them know if I ever find similar stuff. He said the meth production is crazy since it is so easy to make. The trooper stayed and I headed for home. Just a heads up to be careful about dumped garbage out there!
I did find one older button ("Peninsular") maybe someone can give me some info on.
