Oh man, that's really neat.

And welcome to Tnet.

Thank you sir. God Bless America

You sure that's bone? I'm seeing what looks like crazing in the glaze. I hate to say this, but it looks like the rim off of an early porcelain toilet.

Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Good eye sandchip!

If you're sure it's bone, then I would say these are bullet holes. Back in the day, I would toss sun-dried bones in the air and shoot them with my Ruger .22 pistol (I wasn't always the brightest bulb in the lamp). The holes look very similar.

You may wish to take it to the Anthropology Department at Miami U (my alma mater) and ask them to ID your find. The school may be closed, call first.
Don.....
PS: Welcome to treasurenet !!

Looks like a piece of sled runner like the alaskans use on dog sleds there's made from wallrus Ivory

No. It looks like a piece of a broken older porcelain toilet just like sandchip stated.

its a good find what ever it turns out to be.

sand chip nailed it(atleast what the material is). that's a piece of porcelain. you can clearly see the glaze and also uniform structure in the breaks.

Pretty cool find sometimes theres no solving mysteries like that but thats awesome.

Welcome to tnet also God Blees our Country
