The other day while land hunting I dug through some roots to find this older pull tab which had a pencil sized root that had grown right through the "D" ring. Thought it was neat so I just wanted to share! Let's hear about some other interesting finds!

I've posted this before, but here's my root through a harmonica reed.

Nice one! Maybe that Bat piece hung near a fireplace for fireplace tools?

It is not big enough for fireplace tools. I posted it on the What is It? forum and the best guess there was part of an old oil lamp (see photo) or maybe a wind chime. :icon_scratch: I leaned towards the oil lamp part.

im going to say part of old door bell setup

The piece is two-sided which implies it likely hung free.

We went "batty" trying to figure it out though. :laughing7:

Pretty cool - I have found some Tootsie cars with roots through them
