Could be a repunched mint mark. Could be post mint damage.

to me it kind of looks like a D over S mint mark. But it is hard to tell. The coin itself is in bad shape, probably run over as it is bent. So, I guess it could be damage. Next time I remember Ill take it to the coin shop and get a dealers opinion.

I have dealt quite a bit over the years with errors and die varieties. What you have is just normal wear and circulation damage. The bottom of the the mintmark almost looks like doubling, but if you look at the rest of the mintmark and the surrounding area you can see it is not.
