I was hunting in my old yard again just before dark today. I was in a place where there's a bunch of large metal pieces and I had just dug up a hunk of rusty metal. I went over the hole again and I got a signal at 8" plus. I stuck the knife in the hole to dig it out deeper and I hit the tag with my knife and punched a hole clean through it. It was 10" deep and was reading as a dollar signal. I've dug so many junk dollar signals at 8" plus that I let my guard down and ruined my good find. That old pad lock piece was also about 10" deep and was reading as a half dollar to a dollar signal. It has been there long enough to have a nice green patina to it. I guess I'll be more careful from on in my old yard. You all have a good one.
