Awesome finds :icon_thumright:

These are indeed some nice relics. My kind of interest is the piece on the third pic between the Petromax lamp and the bayonet. You can only see half of it. Can You give me a pic from the complete item? Or do You have identified it and can tell me what it is?

Appears that there was quite a battle there at one time. Any ideas about the history involved? ???

That is a lot of digging and what a load of buttons!!! Congratulations!

Can you please tell me what these two items are? :icon_scratch:
Finnish sconce and stand for pots used in the oven

Thanks for the information Stas. The Finnish sconce looks like the base of an antique oil lamp, I love the look of the cherub heads. :icon_thumright:

Cheers,
Dave

Second photo down. I hope that round canister on the right side is not an old land mine. You are working an obvious military site.

Great finds.

Looks like a drum for the russian submachinegun to me.

It is absolutely a PPsh drum. Over the past 8-10 years or so, a bunch of those got imported into the US as inexpensive surplus and I actually bought a few some years back to convert w/ 9mm feed towers and use for something else...

To find a battle-used (?) one in the earth is beyond cool. Looks like you also got 4 out of 5 live ones left from a SVT 40 stripper clip.
