Hopefully someone here can shed some light on what this piece of basalt was used for. It was found in the jungle of Guam back in the 60's. The area which it was found in was a ancient village in the past. Remants of stone pillars are still present today. I noticed that many of the hardstone artifacts found in the US are very similar to the stone artifacts found here on Guam. I'm hoping someone could give me their opinion on this piece. There is a hole/crack that runs right through the middle (top to bottom). It doesn't look like it was drilled? Could this stone be a work of nature. It looks like it was polished up quite a bit. Well here are the pics............
