There is a podcast series called Planet Money and they have a current episode which describes drop shipping. Look for Episode #724 called Cat Scam:
Planet Money : NPR
It more fully explained drop shipping to me, at least. Although the practice is legal, they sure can cause a lot of hassle and money to original sellers. Seems like Amazon would care that these drop shippers are stealing pictures, descriptions, etc, right from Amazon but I guess they don't care that much? Also seems to me that a lot of shoppers do not do simple research on prices.
I only occasionally sell on eBay and do not sell on Amazon, so I'm sure those of you who sell regularly online have more to say about the topic.
