Interesting Ring Not Sure What I Have

Out early this morning at low tide. Absolutely nothing in the wet and called it quits. As soon as I hit the dry sand on my way out this ring came up. I'm not sure what I have here. It doesn't hold a silver acid test but it's heavy. It does hold a platinum acid test but not strong? Looks like a lion on black onyx. If you drop the ring on a table it does have a ring to it. There are no markings that I can see.
Any thoughts

A few thoughts. How hard do you have to press it into the stone to get it to make a mark? Easy or very hard? Easy could be plat. Very hard would be SS.

That is a Rastafarian ring. They are sometimes made of cast aluminum. I've also seen gold and silver ones.
