Interesting rock

Found this in a draw which flows into a small creek. Although it looks like a tool(?) it may just be unique natural formation. Pics are top and several of the underside which has a groove. Also from the same area we found a hoof shaped rock that looks like a big scraper but a geologist I showed it to says they are natural concretions...

It does look like a tool but natural is more likely. Cool piece though.
