My sister found these out on our property in NW Arkansas. I am curious if this is merely an interesting Rock, or something more?

It was on a road we built, so likely 2-3' under the ground where it actually was.

Anything I can be told about it would be greatly appreciated! Hopefully this is an acceptable post on this forum, but if not feel free to direct me to where I could find more info.

Welcome to Tnet.

Agree with Charlie that it's a chert nodule. These weird shapes most usually form when the silica precipitates in a void left behind in the sediments that formed the host rock. Often, burrowing critters such as bivalves and crustaceans are responsible, or when something colonial and organic has gradually decomposed, such as a sponge.
