Hello, while at a new woodchip park, i noticed that all the signals seemed to be an inch or so underground, but there was always "foil" 5 inches down. I usually ignored these signals until i ran out of targets and still had some time. it turns out that it isn't foil at 5 inches. but small jewelry on top of the ground too. I found a ring, a barrette, a earring, and a pendent(all junk) very quickly. I only noticed it on the dfx, so i can't tell if this affects other MD's. I wouldn't try this in grass because of all the mower garbage...

I have noticed this also with the DFX, it is usually small peices of aluminum that have gone thru the chipper, occasionally it will be very small jewelry. If it's at 5" in the wood chips and a certain tone, 99% chance thats what it is.

On my XLT the spectra graph shows multiple bars on foil,on jewelery seems to show one big bar with a small one, depending on the quality. check the spectra graph and see if it shows a difference between the foil and jewelery.
