Interesting Vase -Copper and Ceramic

Frequent lurker not so much poster. Found this today and wondering if any resident experts have an idea? Looks to be a copper bottom and ceramic top fired together. No markings that I can tell. For a buck 50 I said what the heck. Any ideas . Thanks

How much does it weigh because it looks like it could be pottery?

Yeah I agree. To me it looks like a copper looking glaze on a modern piece of pottery.
