Hi Guys, umm I discovered this forum inadvertently when looking up local history. I'm in Visalia California, one of the oldest towns in Central California. I got ahold of a book one time called " hidden treasure" by c.b. Colby and that inspired me to go around looking for other people's misplaced junk. Lol. The oddest thing iv ever dug up so far was a human mandible at a place that rumors suggest bikers used to make people disappear. Found and restored a wad of rust that proved to be a 1908 Spanish artileria bolo knife. I do alot of researching things. Thats probably my most frequent activity. I know a few places that should be searched alot more extensively then they have. If anyone is around my area feel free to say hello. Iv also got a few items that iv never successfully determined the specifics of. If anyone knows about antique prewar Japanese tea sets or antique America ceramics. I'm Just under 40, going on around 85 years old.
Anyone want to find a way into the old Chinese opium mines? I know a little bit about where some of it is located.
