We've been to this field a few times, and it's still producing interesting finds. Yesterday, dug a George III Irish halfpenny. Dated 1781 maybe. (?) Picked up a few tombac buttons, and a brass button with nice flower design. Found my first padlock and it's unusually small. My brother has three that are similar but a little larger. Pretty sure one of these items is a broken trigger guard. Would love to know the type of gun it's from. Anyway...it was a good day.

Thanks! I agree. Hoping it gets plowed this spring, but either way, there's still more to find.

Great finds, congrats!

That looks like a great bunch of finds! Congrats on the half penny. Not bad looking considering its been resting in the ground for 200+ years. Nice button too. Love the design.

Sounds like an awesome day to me! Congrats! :icon_thumleft: I really like the little padlock, it's very cool.
