✅ SOLVED Iron hook(?)

All, found this iron hook(?) on a abandoned road near the site of a former general store. There are no marks & one end has broken off. Any input on ID and/or approximate age is appreciated.

I am guessing an antique auto hood latch.

hood latch possibly from a jeep or a tractor hood

All, thanks for the inputs. Believe it or not the photos were taken after initial cleaning. I'll look into a hood latch and telegraph line insulator.
