IRON OBJECTS ID ?

I dug these up near an old cellar hole with made of large granite blocks . They look hand forged . The ends are flattened . Any ideas ?

Looks like antique paint can openers!! I'm sorry, I couldn't resist! It's just that I have spent the week painting my daughters new house.... I really don't know what they are but that's a really neat find!

Mojjax,Looks like they were made for some sort of prying tool or screw driver.Just a guess,don't know much ealse you could do with um. Cool finds.HH

looks like they maybe from old lift off door hinges

Looks like they could be hammered between the joints of the stone blocks. Maybe to hang a door on a stone wall? Be my guess.

looks similar to the hooks they use here in vermont that they put into granite blocks to make them easier to move.
