Just back from a GW trip where I found this necklace. It felt like a line of lead sinkers when I picked it up. The only marks I can find look like asian script and two apparent "100%" stamps. It weighs well over 41 grams. Color is even and haven't checked with acid yet. Fake or something promising? Better pictures in a day or so.

Yes... and that looks like a baht chain.

Amazing heck of a find.
Test with 22k... or go have it tested... this is an Asian chain.

Tell me... did you buy this and for how much ?

The clasp photo showing the stamp is blurry.

With today's gold price, it puts that 41 grams north of $2600. :occasion14:

Thanks all. I'll get some better pix tomorrow when I get some fresh batteries for the camera. And yes, I bought it for a decent price if real.

BTW to open the clasp, you twist it sideways do not spread it open.

That would be a fantastic find if it's the real deal. I sure hope so, but just a word of caution. Thai gold may be stamped '100', but I haven't seen it stamped '100%'. There are a lot of baht chains from Thailand with spurious marks suggesting they're pure gold, which are actually gold plated brass. Like this... 18 inch chain for £38 ($47), or 40 inch for £70 ($87):

You need to get it checked by a jeweller.
