Is it a clay foot or not ??

I found this by accident while I was metal detecting,it is a hardened clay,looks like the bottom of a childs foot,minus the toes, this was found on civil war land and sometime we find indian arrowheads there.any suggestions or help would be appreciated.I tried to post it in the what is it?,and it wouldnot work.

Sorry john you think that. I know my picture is really not good but it really looks like the sole of a foot. I put it up to my grandkids foot and it is just like the sole of there foot. All well thanks anyway.

I am sorry, I didn't mean to come off like a know it all. ( you can ask my teenage son, and he will tell you, that i dont know squat.LOL) What I meant is I don't believe its an Indian artifact. It very well could be. that's just my opinion. Don't let me discourage you from posting, or asking questions. John

Sorry mystic, but I have to agree with flintfinder. It may be made of hardened clay, but it looks like a natural formation to me and not altered by man so I too don't believe it's an artifact of either prehistoric or historic origin.
