IS IT A LEG OR WHAT?

Can you tell me what this is? It looks like a broke off leg of something ,it is hollow but not opened at the bottom of it,like a spout. The other is some type metal I have been finding alot of,it makes me think of the fastners on fruit jars. people did live here in the late 1800's and the civil war was fought where I found these things at. thank you for any help.

The wire looking thingy, looks like the heavy gauge aluminum wire used for attaching galvanized chain fencing to the fence pipes, the other thing may be the tip off of something civil war, IDK.

I cleaned it up the best I could, it is light weight,shiny,it is not attracted to a magnet. I put a ink pen beside it for size but I have found some smaller ones and one larger shaped like a handle.
Any ideals would be greatly appreciated.thanks
