Nope,wrong shape.A butt plate covered the entire part of the stock that went against your shoulder.

maybe some sort of ornament off of an indian motorcycle.

Looks like a butt plate off a flint lock pistol to me. Not an expert here, either.

butt plate from a pistol would make more sense, due to the size. However, the locator pins suggest it's a far more modern piece. I'm not sure what though. While close, it doesn't match any Indian motorcycle fender light assembly either.
