Is the Cibola worth the extra $100 over the Silver UMax? I've been going back & forth. Cam someone give me some light on this?
I'll be using it mostly in northcentral PA & 1 or 2 trips(per year) to the beach on the east coast.
Thanks in advance,
Brad

I would go with the Vaquero, More of a all around, has Manual ground Balance in case you need especially on the beach where you will need it. You never know if you will encounter Mineralized ground.

BradfromPotter,

geckokid is right in what he says, here's my take on it: For your $100 (actually $125) you get The HOT technology, not the same family of machine as the uMax, a higher operating freq., Freq. shift capability, push button pin point (you may or may not like that?) a larger 9"x8" coil. YOU have to decide if the Cibola is worth the extra $125.
If the "beach" is salt water you may have trouble with both the Cibola OR the Vaquero. the most problems will occur when you get close to the edge of the water. The Vaquero will do better as Geckokid said, because it has manual GB. If I can help you with your purchase let me know. Joe (Authorized Tesoro Dealer)
