I am looking for a way to light up the face plate of my AT Pro for late evening digs. I have seen a few YouTube videos on what others have done. But...well, I will leave it at that.

Has anyone been able to come up with a good way to light it up? If so, please share :)

The AT Pro has no backlight?

I suppose you have already considered a head mounted lamp...maybe use the twilight hours to practice learning the machines sounds!:laughing7:

I'm glad I bought the Pro, and spent hundreds of hours learning its language. Ive not been dissatisfied with its performance in the least. My only disappointment is the lack of a backlight. For the price one pays, Garrett could easily add a backlight. My best solution has been a camo cap, with two LED bulbs in the bill. It works well for viewing the screen, and seeing down the hole. However, the CR2032 batteries don't last but a few hours.

Yes I have and I do use one but there are many times I prefer just to have a nice glow of light coming from my metal detector screen and use the head lamp when and if I start digging. I do have a nice light that shines down on the coil so I have that part covered I just want the screen on my AT Pro to have a backlight :(
