Is there anywhere to detect in Williamsport?

Hello yall,

I am coming up to visit some family in Williamsport at the end of June. (Lycoming County) I was wondering if there is anywhere good to try to metal detect. I am coming from Alabama so I have no clue where to hunt in that area. I thank yall for all the information that can be given.

I am here in Wiliamsport and we have quite a few ghost towns (old logging camps and mining towns )in the area here and a few sites where forts once stood. you can email me if you like and I can try to tell you where they are ot get together when you come up as we have a few people here interested in detecting but getting them together can be fun as we all work diff hours. dave
